LAZY OAF LIFE

For anyone unfamiliar with the ever so quirky brand of Lazy Oaf, welcome. Welcome to a place where everything is majestically beautiful, but terrifyingly expensive. Enjoy! Nah, but let's be real guys, isn't this stuff funk-tastic?!

Honestly, their stock are one of my largest cravings and the majority of the products are at the top of my wish list, under chocolate milk of course (how to win my heart for any guys out there, oh I see you there (; I'm sorry, come back, I'm not entirely psychotic I swear.)

JUST A FLING WITH 17

After a hunt for a nude lipstick round the local drugstore I found this mysterious one lurking in the SEVENTEEN section and picked it up just to try out, not expecting much. I did not realise how surprised I would be when I tried it later that day and how much of a keeper and necessity I now see it as.

Just A Fling from the Stay Pout selection from 17 is such a beautiful spring nude colour, especially with its pinky, orange tone. It goes with every single make up look I try and recently has definitely been my go to. In addition to it's beauty, it is actually pretty moisturising too, unlike so many lipsticks which seem to dry your lips out instantly.

This product seems pretty flawless am I right? Well it gets better. It lasts! You may not be able to eat a full course meal, but I find it seems to last more than half a day.

SHORT HAIR CRAVINGS

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I have been dipping in and out of the idea pool for about a year now on the subject of cutting my hair.

But not like a couple inches off, oh no, more like 10 inches off. Who knew that would be said by the girl who after growing her hair out from a bob, swore to never cut it again!
However, times have changed and I am obsessed to get max. Have you even seen my Pinterest! ( Subtle little input there(; ) I mean look at those photos, their hair is just so beautiful and elegant and ommgggeee...okay I'm going to the hair dresses.

- DHC Eyeliner & Mascara both beautiful products which I wrote a post about a few weeks back.

- MinkPink their stock is lush.

- Sheer Socks they're just so beautiful and prettaaaay and would go lovely with those boots that you get cold ankles with, but I wouldn't hold your breath about them keeping your ankles warm.

PEPPERMINT TEA OBSESSED?

Considering it's now basically Christmas *insert inhuman noise of excitement* it's reaching the temperature of possible snow *insert even louder inhuman noise of excitement*! So of course the warm drinks and sitting next to the fire, whilst my parents endure the endless marathons of Harry Potter, and I absorb it all in and wait for my letter to finally arrive has come around again and I needed a healthier option to constant hot chocolates so in the summer I went on a mission.

My mission in the summer holidays was to basically find a healthier hot drink and considering the smell of coffee reminds me of nausea from long car journey I opted to steer away from that slightly, and try out the tea range instead. This is when I discovered my true Brit and my love for Peppermint tea. All I can say is that I.AM.OBSESSED. and that is no word of a lie. Please enjoy the photos of me going crazy because I'm a little bit freaky, almost as freaky as my dancing!

W7 LIGHTLY TOASTED

Okay, can we just have a moments silence for the beauty of this product. Thank you.

It was love at first sight when I was trying to find a new selection of eyeshadow colours, and when it came to choosing between a Two Faced Romantic Eye palette and W7 Lightly Toasted palette. W7 Lightly Toasted was a definite winner.

First of all, the shades are so very very fab and pretty much exactly the same as the Urban Decay Naked palette, but a lot cheaper and a very similar amazing quality as well as flawless pigmenting. The colour variety is beautiful and is an assortment of lights and darks on a more of a brown, autumnal level. This obviously means there are so many different 'looks' that you can choose from, for example a heavy smokey eye to a light brown one and eeee, it's just perfection and makes me so happy! Ahaha...I don't know how I have friends.

The eyeshadow being quite pigmented also means that it is long lasting, and when I say long lasting, I mean forgetting to take your make off from the previous night and it staying pretty much in place. (I'm also not suggesting to keep your make up on overnight as your skin needs to breathe and keeping make up on when you're sleeping clogs up the pores, so I would suggest to remove all your make up before hand going to bed.) I would, however suggest to prime your eyes before applying to avoid any awkward crinkles, if you get what I mean? No? Ah, okay.

BODY SHOP LIPSTICK 05

I was lucky enough to wonder into The Body Shop when they were selling pretty much everything for £2 (what a steal!) and so of course bought a selection of things.

One of my favourites from the mass buy was The Body Shop Lipstick in 05.

Okay, when I bought it I thought it was an entirely different shade of lipstick, in fact a completely different hue, so when I realised that the lipsticks had been swapped by a previous looker, I was the tiniest bit upset because I didn't think I'd pull of the colour at all, it being a purple and all. However, when I put it on it actually didn't look too bad. The purple matched my skin tone, a cool beige and there was a slight sparkle to it as well which lightened up the lip.

Overall, the lipstick is moisturising and lasting to an extent, so needs applying every so often. It's great for the autumn matching the autumnal colours and could look great with a nude/light brown eye.

HUMMINGBIRD BAKERY FAVOURITES

On a recent trip to London, Zoe, Zoe I and popped along to the HummingBird Bakery for a treat.

So hand in hand, we walked skipped in and chose a little something. Of course, we picked out our favourites which we think you should try to because honestly, these particular ones are on another level of cake.

Red Velvet Cupcake

Chocolate & Peanut Butter Whoopie Pie
(If you ever decide on this one, beware. I suggest sharing with a friend)

Cookies & Cream Oreo Cupcake

I have the recipe book for the cupcakes in the bakery, and if you're into the Hummingbird cakes and into cooking, I really suggest having a go. They don't always go well, but they still taste divine. I am still yet to master the ultimate skill which is a raised whoopie pie!

THE LITTLE SHOPS

Everywhere you go, there is always going to be one cute little shop that has the most adorable things. Most of the things you never knew you needed, but as soon as your eyes make contact with these objects, your heart kinda melts, and you know straight away that that book full of dog poses is a necessity. Here are some of my favourite little shops that I found whilst travelling around California with my family, enjoy!

This shop was just scattered with things so when I dragged my family back to the shop to take photos, I think they may have been a bit embarrassed by my instinct blogger reaction.

The bunny shaped cookies from this bakery were heaven in a package and so adorable!

ARK PLAYSUITS // WEBSITE NO LONGER AVAILABLE

I have recently fallen in love with playsuits and I discovered a website that do some beautiful ones that are absolute perfection.

Unfortunately, whilst planning to do this and finding my resources, the ones that I found disappeared from the website and after waterfalls of tears I accepted it and decided to review just the two. Sorry about the scarcity :(

I can't even tell you how much I love this one. The pattern is beautiful and the colours are simple and of course go with absolutely anything mean you can either dress this down or dress it up. The problem with this one however, is the whole bra siuation, which is pretty much the same for every playsuit out there. Let's be honest though, when a playsuit is as beautiful as this I think it's fine showing a bit of bra as long as it matches.

This one is a more dress up one, when you're going to a formal summer party or something. The colours and pattern are just eeee (that's me getting excited for those of you who don't know me in person). I adore this playsuit and it would look beautiful with maybe a bit of a lacy bralet underneath or summery heels or wedges depending on what floats your boat.

MY OLD DUTCH

Okay so, this place is just utterly incredible.

It's a pancake house, but they serve waffles and other cafe food like salads...guess what we chose. Zoe and I went to the King's Road and after ages of walking up and down trying to decide where to eat, we chose My Old Dutch, although Joe & The Juice looked super cool.

The pancakes are amazing, but massive. We decided to go for the kids sized (we're all kids at heart) savory pancake and a normal sized pancake which was sweet. I can truthfully say it was really good. The service was really friendly and inside had a cool simple, minimalist vibe to it. It is right at the end of the road and took us ages to actually find it, but we did.

This is an amazing place to eat at, but beware the portions are big!

BATH & BODY WORKS: SHOWER GEL AND HAND CREAM

My family and I were lucky enough to go to California for the Easter holidays or Spring break as they call it in America, and of course shopping was on the itinerary.

After arriving at one of the malls in San Francisco, I spotted Bath & Body Works and decided to go have a little peep in there since everyone at school had been raving about it. Little did I know, that I would be wanting to buy the whole shop and take it back to England with me!

Having not that much money left after previous shops, I settled on two of the most amazing smelling products, both very different in smells. One was of course the Passionfruit Kiss Shower Gel and the other the Vanilla Butter Icing Hand Cream. I mean can we just for a moment with the smells, like woah *mindblown*.

BATH TIME FAVOURITES

It's that time of the year when you come home from a long day and all you want to do is just to get away from the cold. My personal favourite way to get warm is to run myself a steaming hot bubble bath using one multiple bath bombs with my favourite shower gels and shampoo.

I don't know about you, but I get through shower gels like hella quickly. I don't even know where it disappears to. And I'm serious! I thought I'd share my favourite shower gels with you and my opinions on them (:

Snow Fairy by Lush is a sweet smelling shower gel which leaves your body smelling absolutely amazing. I'm not gonna lie here, the reason I bought it was because of the colour and when I did buy it I smelt it and knew straight away that the shower gel would just be swallowed right up in my showers, however this was not the case when I soon discovered that it's limited edition and is only in stock during he Christmas period. CAN WE JUST HAVE A MOMENT TO CRY. WHY ON EARTH IS THIS ONLY AVAILABLE AT CHRISTMAS TIME?!?! If I had known about this I would have very likely spent all of my money on it as to stock up ... I get very obsessive about these things. Now knowing this, pea sized drops are applied in baths/showers and only on special occasions, or when the need for treatment is felt necessary, in hope that maybe it will last until it comes back in stock next Christmas. This doesn't mean though, that I can't constantly smell this scented bath drug.

When the whole of the Pink Grapefruit collection was on sale for £12, the need and urge to purchase it was overwhelming, and very quickly the 'urge' was fulfilled. The shower gel is a beautiful light pink and is the exact scent of grapefruit, which I totally and utterly adore. It's not too strong, and not too weak, but just perfect. My mum is always commenting and complementing on the waft of pink grapefruit that she picks up on as I stride past after my bath and once even asked if she could borrow it, which was replied sharply with a 'NO! Get your own!'
